What Community Members Have Reported

The following summarizes allegations and accounts provided to this project. We are publishing them as reported allegations and are seeking additional firsthand information, corroborating evidence, corrections, and responses.

Allegations of sexual assault: Multiple individuals have separately told this project that they experienced conduct involving Christian Englander that they described as sexual assault at parties or events in the Hawaiian Islands. These statements are allegations reported by those individuals; they are not presented as a criminal finding or adjudication.
Reported eyewitness account: A source known to this project, whose identity is being withheld publicly, told us that they were connected by live video during an alleged incident involving Christian Englander. The source reports witnessing the incident as it occurred and described in detail conduct that they understood to be sexual assault. We have documented the identity of this source and the account provided to us. The source's identity is not being published here in order to protect their privacy.
Reports involving drugs and alcohol: Sources have described Christian Englander providing drugs and/or alcohol at social gatherings, sometimes described by sources as "party favors." Some sources allege that individuals became significantly impaired before alleged sexual misconduct or assault occurred. This project has not independently determined the contents of any substance, the intent behind providing it, or whether a substance caused or contributed to any particular alleged incident.
Travel between islands: Sources report that Christian Englander travels between Hawaiian islands frequently, including sometimes on relatively short notice. We are seeking information from people on multiple islands in order to determine whether independently reported incidents or encounters show meaningful patterns.
Open mic nights and community events: Sources report encountering Christian Englander not only at DJ sets and parties but also at local open mic nights and other community events. Some individuals have alleged concerning interactions with him in those environments.
Reports concerning a spiritual/wellness community: Some sources have described Christian Englander as being associated with a closely knit private spiritual or wellness community. Some individuals further allege that people associated with that community discouraged criticism, reporting, or discussion of concerns involving him. We have not independently established that the organization itself, its leadership, or its membership as a whole directed, participated in, or approved such conduct.
Reports of pressure after concerns were raised: Several people have told this project that after attempting to discuss or raise concerns, they felt pressured to remain silent, dismissed, discouraged from continuing the discussion, or encouraged to question their own recollection of events. These statements describe the experiences and perceptions reported by those sources.
Reported weapons concerns: Some community members have reported concerns that Christian Englander may carry or have access to weapons. We have not independently verified whether he currently possesses or carries a weapon. This information is included because it was reported as a potential safety consideration, not as a finding that he is unlawfully armed.
